After much wait you are finally allowed to go home. You can't help but feel lucky, because you've heard news where people are asked to stay indefinitely even if they are cured (all by themselves) and have multiple PCR tests that yields green code; yet you lost your job because you didn't show up at work for way too long.
You go back home, and people in your neighbourhood start to hate you. "It's because of YOU we were forced to stay indoors!" an old woman yelled at you. It's one of the rules for fighting against Covid in China: when people who have red code are quarantined outside, people who don't have red code but live in the same neighbourhood are required to quarantine inside.
You start looking for a new job. When you look for jobs online, a good portion of them require that their applicants "should not ever be tested positive, quarantined in a Fangcang or worked as a volunteer in one". Strange, you think to your self, isn't having recovered from Covid-19 supposed to make you safer because you've got the antibody? Seems like the majority don't think so.
Oh by the way you still have to do PCR tests periodically.
