Reconstructing Early Chinese Computers
Project goals:
-
Realistic, would consider project complete if these are done:
A simulator of 103 (DJS-1, DJS-3), which is at the same time a simulator of the Soviet Union M-3.Done.
-
Realistic, but it is definitely for another time...
- A simulator of DJS-130, which is at the same time a simulator of Data General NOVA.
-
Would probably pursue after the goals above are achieved:
(But you definitely shouldn't expect that I would definitely do it.)- Actual hardware implementation of the machines mentioned above.
(Of course with 21st century technologies. Making these things the "authentic" way would cost a fortune!)
- Actual hardware implementation of the machines mentioned above.
-
Would pursue but you gotta hope that I could ever get a hold of the machine descriptions:
(If you have the description please send an email because I don't think I would have them any time soon...)- Probably a simulator of DJS-6 and DJS-21.
- And probably, hardware implementations of these two.
Update: material for DJS-0xx microcomputers, updated timeline, and floating-point arithmetics for DJS-1.
